    ROTEX® elastic coupling has the characteristics of small size, light weight, small moment of inertia but high transmission torque.All surface finish machining makes the coupling high in running quality and long working life.

    The ROTEX® coupling buffers the vibration during transmission and absorbs the impact caused by the uneven operation of the power machine.

   ROTEX standard plum blossom type elastic special coupling structure:

    The ROTEX® coupling is a torsionally elastic coupling with a failure protection function, which can effectively dampen and reduce the vibration and impact generated during operation.The claw teeth of the two sleeves are offset by half a pitch in the circumferential direction, and an involute plum blossom-shaped elastic body is installed in the gap.

    When the shaft is deviated during installation, the drum-shaped teeth of the elastic body avoid stress concentration. ROTEX® couplings can effectively correct axial, radial and installation deviations.

    Generally, the elastic body in the middle of the elastic coupling bears bending force and pressure and is easy to wear, while the elastic body of the ROTEX® coupling is only subjected to pressure, so it can withstand greater loads.The elastic body deforms under load and high speed, so enough space should be reserved for its deformation during installation (see the force-deformation diagram).

    The torsion angle of all ROTEX® couplings can reach 5º.It can be installed horizontally or vertically.

    The normal working temperature of ROTEX® elastomer is -40℃～+90℃.The allowable temperature is 120°C. The Shore hardness of ROTEX® elastomers is usually 92 ShoreA.For higher torque transmission, elastomers with hardness of 95/98ShoreA and 64ShoreD-F can be used.

    The elastomer is resistant to wear, oil, ozone, and aging, and its hydrolysis resistance is suitable for tropical climates.

    Due to the good internal buffer, it can protect the transmission from overload.
